Online education

Studying online offers you the possibility of studying wherever and whenever you want. Within the Delft Extension School there are various forms in which you can follow online education here at the TU Delft:

Massive Open Online Courses MOOCs

TU Delft offers ‘Massive Open Online Courses’ (MOOCs) on the edX-platform. A MOOC is an online course aiming at large-scale interactive participation and open access via the web. In addition to traditional course materials such as videos, readings, and problem sets, MOOCs provide interactive user forums that help build a community for the students, professors, and teaching assistants.
Here at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences we offer:

Online Distance MSc Education

The TU Delft offers a number of the courses of three MSc programmes online. This means that you can take part in the courses at a distance, via the Internet. Some of the courses can be followed online in their entirety, but for other courses you will need to come to Delft for some of the course components, such as the examinations. This will always be clearly indicated with the course in question on the website of the faculty concerned. The online courses are substantively identical to the courses given on campus. Here at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences we offer:

Online MSc track Water Management

The MSc Water Management track focuses on understanding natural surface and groundwater flows and the management, control and use of these flows for/by society. This covers both ground and surface water, as well as rainfall and, for example, waste water. Water Management considers both the quantity and quality of ground and surface water.

The whole MSc track can be taken online or individual subjects from this MSc can be selected. Students wishing to participate in the online MSc have to pay tuition fees, register at TU Delft and meet the admission requirements.
