The Faculty of Civil Engineering has more than 250 academic staff members and approximately 500 PhD students and post-doctoral researchers.

Research at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences

Many academic staff members are prize-winning scientists and engineers internationally known in their fields of research. The Faculty is equipped with advanced laboratories and experimental facilities. The Faculty’s research groups participate in various collaborative research groups and organisations. Professional degree of engineering (PDEng) 

In addition to the 4 year PhD trajectory, the faculty also offers a Professional degree of engineering (PDEng), which entails a postgraduate education programme that take two years and leads to a PDEng title in comprehensive design in Civil Engineering.
