Vidi grant for Dr Deyan Draganov
23 May 2012 by Webredactie CITGDeyan Draganov of the section of Applied Geophysics and Petrophysics has been awarded a Vidi grant by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) for his project "Seismic Interferometry for High-Resolution/ Cost-Effective Applications in Regional Seismology, Hydrocarbon Exploration and Art Preservation".
Deyan's work on turning ambient seismic noise into images of the subsurface has already received a lot of international recognition. This Vidi grant is another milestone in his career. With this grant he can attract a postdoc and two PhD students to work under his supervision for the coming five years.
