Water in the city
The issue of water in cities is becoming an ever-increasing challenge as cities grow and an ever increasing share of the world population is living in urban environments. Where do we get our drinking water from? Does water recycling offer a solution to water shortages and how do we put this into practice? How should waste water and rainwater be disposed of and treated, as a potential source of energy and raw materials? How can we ensure that our cities remain resistant to rising sea levels, extreme weather and changes in the behaviour of rivers as a result of climate change?
Urban Water Movie Contest
As part of its 170th anniversary celebrations, TU Delft is organising the Urban Water Movie Contest to invite answers to these questions. Participants can submit their solution in the form of a short film lasting up to three minutes. The best film will win a cash prize of € 1,000 and the best three entries will be premiered during the TU Delft Water Week (part of the 170th anniversary celebrations. The winning films will also be entered in the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA).
