Olivier Hoes (1972) graduated in February 2001 at the department of Civil Engineering of the Delft University of Technology. Since March 2003, he works 3 days a week on a PhD at Delft University of Technology and 2 days as a consultant for Nelen & Schuurmans Consultants. The topic of his PhD research is when and how to adapt regional water systems to urbanisation and/or increased precipitation due to climate change. His main interests are water system behaviour under extreme precipitation, flood frequency estimation and risk analysis.
